The Truffle Lady
The Truffle Lady, Amanda Reboul, in Paris

Behind every great man there is a powerful woman, and since 2006, Amanda Reboul has been the Lady behind The Truffle Man.

Affectionately called The Truffle Lady by Brisbane foodies and chefs alike, Amanda brings her knowledge of fine foods and wine to tables across the country.

The Truffle Man started when Amanda, her husband Philippe and their family relocated to Brisbane from France and saw a niche market to supply high quality gourmet ingredients that had been previously difficult to source in Brisbane.

Since officially taking over the reins in 2012, during the truffle season Amanda ran ‘The Truffle Lady presents…’ Truffle and Wine dinners at various fine dining restaurants across the city, working closely with some of Australia’s top chefs including Philip Johnson at e’cco and oneeleven, Jake Nicholson at Blackbird, David Pugh at Restaurant Two, and Kim Machin and Alejandro Cancino at Urbane.

Her very first event at Brents (now 85 Miskin St) in Toowong attracted none other than her idol Gabriel Gaté who had been instrumental in developing her love of cooking while watching the hit ‘What’s Cooking’ TV show as a teenager.

Amanda’s great passion is champagne and alongside her role running The Truffle Man, she also organises various Champagne Dinners, Events and Masterclasses – all with a strong food focus.
